A couple of weeks ago I met up with Angela and Luke for a few post-wedding portraits in downtown Hinsdale. I love shooting in old downtown areas as I usually find lots of scenes to photograph in. Downtown Hinsdale is actually where Jennifer and I had our engagement portraits taken and being there brought back some memories! Here's a few photos from their shoot! -Jake
Alli and Mike got married on a beautiful (and hot) summer day a couple of weeks ago! I met up with them for a few getting ready shots and their first look at the hotel (a first look between Alli and her Dad, too!) and then we went out to do some portraits at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. We lasted barely an hour in the weather but we were able to take advantage of the park and made some awesome portraits before getting back in the air conditioning. Their ceremony and reception were both at the Gaslite Manor in Aurora and their day was full of beautiful and memorable moments. Here are some of my favorite photos from their wedding! -Jake
I met up with Lindsay and David a couple weeks ago for their engagement session in Chicago. It was an amazing summer evening and we hit up a ton of spots downtown. We started at the Ohio street beach and went next door for the view at Olive Park. However, we didn't stop there and walked to Navy pier, took a cab to Millennium Park and finally walked down to the Riverwalk. It was a fantastic session and I always feel so blessed that I get to capture these small moments of the lives of people in love!

A couple of weeks ago i had the pleasure of photographing Jean and Robert's wedding at the beautiful ivy covered Kenilworth Union Church! The day started off a little bit wet but you wouldn't be able to tell by the photos. This church had an amazing walkway with arches that we used for the first look and a bunch of the portraits. Their reception was held at the Chevy Chase Country Club where we had some great late afternoon sunlight for a couple more portraits. When I did their engagement session they mentioned they were taking dance lessons and it paid off because their first dance was perfect! Enjoy looking at a few of my favorite photos from their day!

Pepsi and Andy were such a joy to work with, only a few weeks ago, at the County Line Orchard. They couldn't have ordered up a nicer day for their wedding, and we were so happy to be able to spend the day with them! We loved their beautiful florals by Phillip's Flowers, and sincerely enjoyed the company of everyone in the bridal party!
We can never complain when a wedding ceremony is performed in the shade of a giant Oak Tree and the reception ends with S'mores.
Simply perfect.
