A couple weeks ago I met up with Kaitlin and Mike for some engagement portraits at the beautiful Chicago Botanic Garden. Here's a few of my favorite photos from their session. They mentioned that they wanted something a little different so I shot a couple of rolls on film. The Pentax 6x7 is a beast but it makes really cool images. I can't wait to photograph their wedding next summer! -Jake
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to photograph Christina and Kevin's wedding in Chicago! Christina got ready at the W Lakeshore hotel and their ceremony was held at the crazy beautiful St. Clement Catholic Church in Lincoln Park. It was a hot summer day but it stayed dry and we were able to hit up North Pond and Belmont Harbor for some outdoor portraits. Their reception was held at Zia's Lago Vista which had a really nice intimate restaurant vibe. I loved worked with Christina and Kevin!

Kimberley and Dan's gorgeous summer wedding was held on a rustic farm at a place called Emerson Creek Pottery and Tearoom. I loved the laid back rural vibe this venue had. Emerson Creek had a bridal coop for getting ready shots, an outdoor ceremony space with a cornfield backdrop, a barn/tent reception, and a tea room for portraits- this place was amazing! Kimberley, Dan, and party were a great group of people to work for and I'm so excited to show them all of their photos. Enjoy this snapshot of their day!

Jessie and Omar got married at Salvage One a few weeks ago. This venue is one of my favorite places to shoot at. Seriously, everywhere you turn there's a cool place to take photos. Jessie and Omar's ceremony took place inside the venue among rows of salvaged church pews and random chandeliers. At the end of the night we had a ton of fun with the sparklers in front of the iconic Chicago sign. Enjoy the photos! -Jake
Becky and Tyler's summer wedding took place at the gorgeous First Congregational Church in Western Springs. After they said their vows we went over to their reception which was at one of our favorite venues Lacuna Artists Lofts in Chicago. We are artists and we love loft venues so that equals perfect! There are so many great portrait locations in Lacuna we could spend the whole day shooting there. Becky, Tyler and their party were an amazing group of people to work for! -Jake and Jennifer
