Morgan and Dan

A few weeks ago Morgan and Dan got married on a gorgeous autumn day surrounded by their immediate family and close friends. Because of Illinois’ restrictions they had to do a last minute venue change but I am all for lodge weddings out in the country and LaSalle Manor was the perfect place to have an intimate wedding! This wedding was amazing in so many ways and a few highlights are the Pullman train car the bridesmaids got ready in, all the beautiful bouquets and the floral backdrop for the ceremony, the chocolate chip cookies Morgan’s grandma made, the olive tree they planted together during their ceremony and the wood-fired pizza for dinner. Thank you to Morgan and Dan for having me be a part of their wedding. Plan B (or C?) turned out to be perfect!! -Jake

Carla and Scott

Carla and Scott got married a couple of weeks ago at the Kankakee Country Club along the river. We used to live just a couple of blocks away so it was great to be in the area again! Their ceremony was held inside with a beautiful circular floral backdrop. After the ceremony we went outdoors with the bridal party for portraits. It was a bit drizzly out but that didn’t stop Carla and Scott from having fun and getting on golf carts for photos around the golf course. Congrats Carla and Scott! -Jake

Shelby and Stephen

Congratulations to Shelby and Stephen who got married a couple of weeks ago at the beautiful St. John of the Cross church in Western Springs. Afterwards, they had their reception at Cog Hill golf club in Lemont. We took portraits by the big red barn they have on the course and I found a spot that looked like we were in the woods. I absolutely loved that their decor was National Park themed. Check out the tree details on their cake. Made me want to go exploring! -Jake

Sara and John

Sara and John got married a couple of weeks ago at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, IL. They were originally planning a November wedding but moved it up to September so they could have their ceremony outdoors. It turned out to be such a beautiful day for their wedding. Sara and John have been an amazing couple to work for and we wish them a heartfelt congratulations! Huge thanks to Ryan Timm for photographing their wedding for us! You can check out his amazing photography here. -Jake

Abbie and Eric

Abbie and Eric had their wedding ceremony a couple of weeks ago at one of my favorite venues Salvage One. We started with a first look in the back patio and then walked around the building for portraits of the the two of them. There’s so many amazing spots around Salvage One that the hardest part about doing photos there is choosing which looks to go with. Abbie looked absolutely stunning in her dress and Eric couldn’t keep his eyes off of her! Their sweet ceremony was held outside in the garden surrounded by their immediate family and close friends (and their ring-pup!) followed by champagne and first dances. I cannot wait to party with them next year! -Jake
