A blog of our current photography work.

Colleen and Nicholas

I had the pleasure of photographing Colleen and Nick’s wedding a few weeks ago on a gorgeous summer day! They had their sweet ceremony at the Holy Cross Church in Deerfield followed by a reception at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. Colleen and Nick found a beautiful forest preserve nearby called Ryerson Woods that we did all of our bridal party portraits at. Their day was absolutely perfect and I am so happy that I was able to be a part of it! -Jake

Colleen and Pat

Congratulations to Colleen and Pat who got married recently at the Chicago Athletic Association in downtown Chicago. The Chicago Athletic Association is such a beautiful, unique, and historic venue to get married at. We started with a first look in the White City ballroom and then took a few portraits on the first floor marble staircase. We finished up with a few more photos around their ballroom before their gorgeous ceremony in the same room. Their cocktail hour was held in the Madison ballroom and we enjoyed music throughout the evening by the amazing Cagen Orchestra. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their day!

Sarah and Eric

I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Eric’s wedding the other week at one of coolest venues in Illinois, The Silver Fox. It was an old Masonic Temple that they turned into a swanky speakeasy feeling wedding venue. Seriously, everywhere you turn at this place is an opportunity to make great photos. The day started with one of the groomsmen combing through their extensive vinyl collection which set the mood of the day. Their ceremony was held upstairs in an old auditorium and the reception was downstairs in a refurbished community room. I had a wonderful time spending the day with Sarah and Eric and I can’t wait to show them all the photos!

Here’s a list of their vendors:

Venue: The Silver Fox
DJ: Shah Quaiyoom
Hair: Corpo Bello Salon
Makeup: Stef Krause
Caterer: Mark Allen’s in Peru, IL
Dessert: The Ottawa Bakery
Alcohol: Streator Drugs

Whitney and Eric

It’s officially spring (I think!!) and with that it means things start to pick up around here. I did some engagement photos for Whitney and Eric a few months ago in the middle of winter but they wanted to take advantage of the spring flowers and hired me to do a second session! I had a blast working with them and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall! I was trying to talk them into doing some summer portraits as well so we can get in all the seasons. Hopefully, they take me up on that!
