McGuire Family

I met up with the McGuire family last week at Lake Ellyn to do some updated family photos as last time I did them they just had Henry. Their other son James just turned one and they figured they should get some photos with him, too! These kids were so full of goofy energy and I had a blast following them around for an hour. I have so many great photos of the McGuire family it was hard to just pick a few for a preview!

Cindy and Noah

While I didn’t get to photograph Cindy and Noah’s wedding last year because of covid I am so happy that I still get to photograph their other life events. They are expecting their baby boy in May and asked me to take their maternity portraits to capture this time in their lives. Here’s a few of my favorites from our session the other day. Thank goodness we’ve had several warm days in a row!

Katie and Brett

Katie and Brett got married last Saturday at their home in Northwest Indiana. They transformed their living room into one of the best ceremony spots I’ve seen! I love the custom floral arch they made and the bourbon barrel top that they carved their names into. After their short but sweet ceremony we did a few portraits in their home (made sure to get their dog in some!) and then went to their reception at Gino’s Prime and Surf for some dancing and candid shots. A huge thanks to Katie and Brett for having me photograph their wedding!

Kathryn and Nick

On Saturday I met Kathryn and Nick for another round of portraits (and some beer) at Harry Caray’s in Oak Brook. They are getting married there and wanted some light hearted and fun photos to use for their invitations. What better way to do this than with a couple of coronas? After they kicked back a bottle each it was so nice out (by nice I mean sunny and 30 degrees instead of snowy and below zero) we went over to Lyman Woods for a few casual portraits in the snow. I can’t tell them with words how excited I am to finally get to photograph their wedding at the end of May. I can’t wait! -Jake

James and Judah

Last week I got to photograph my nephews, James and Judah, at their house. I was thrilled because I hadn’t actually met Judah yet because he was born in Colorado in the midst of a pandemic. He is so cute and full of baby goodness! The main goal of the session was to get some photos of the two kids together and it was a bonus if I could get a photo of Judah’s baby teeth coming in. Mission accomplished!! Here’s a few of my favorites from our little session and I can’t wait to deliver these photos!
