What better wedding to feature on this bitterly cold Chicago day, than Stefanee and Jorge's sweet Destination Wedding! These two had the right idea by escaping the cold and gray of Illinois and taking their wedding to Mexico! Of course, we were thrilled to be asked to capture their very special day -- and soak up the sun while there!

We love this session for a few reasons: First of all, Monica and Dan are two very dear friends of ours and we love spending time with them. We absolutely couldn't be happier that they asked us to be their photographers for their big day! Secondly, this shoot goes to show that we can quite literally do portraits anywhere and they are going to be awesome.
Dan is a mechanics teacher at the local high school where Monica teaches art. As an incredibly talented artist, Monica sees beauty in everything and their choice of location was completely perfect for them! We started the shoot at the junkyard, made our way over to the wind turbines - which is a special location for the two of them - and ended the shoot with pizza at Bianchi's Pizza which is their {and our} favorite pizza joint.

Allison and Kyle had such a sweet wedding a few short months ago. This couple has GREAT style (I LOVE those Kate Spade heels) and they had an amazing team of wedding professionals to help pull off their day. We just loved Allison's bouquet by A Stem Above -- we can't get enough of succulents being incorporated into floral designs! They got ready at the Dana Hotel in Chicago, where we did a few portraits and they had their first look. From there we went around the city doing portraits with their bridal party. These two were so fun to work with, and their love for each other - and their obvious enjoyment of each others company -- showed through in their photos.
Allison and Kyle were married at Floating World Gallery and we were thrilled to shoot another wedding there! It is a great venue!
All the details of the day came together with the help of Clementine Custom Events who kept everyone on track and were so easy to work with! We are excited to show you a few of our favorite images from their day!

2013 has been a whirlwind. We have met some wonderful people, been to some amazing places and have been privileged to witness some of the most beautiful and intimate moments of people's lives. We couldn't imagine a better way to make a living than this.

It feels like I just photographed Nick and Michelle's wedding at Salvage One in Chicago and now I am honored that they had me take pictures of their new baby twins! Congratulations you guys!
