Alex and Emily's Engagement Session

We love working with family, so I was thrilled when my cousin, Alex, asked us to do his and Emily's Wedding and Engagement photos! We started their Engagement Session in Marseilles at the local elementary school, where a bench was named in honor of the memory of Alex's mother.  From there we headed over to the now closed Hi-Lo Gas Station, which was owned by our late Grandfather, Theodore "The Bear" Blumenshine, and operated by Alex's father, Ron.

We then went to Ottawa for a few more portraits around town.  We had a lot of fun shooting, although the weather was wicked hot!  I'm really excited to shoot their wedding day next year!

Congratulations again on your engagement!  Emily, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!   We can't wait to officially welcome you into the fam:)

Michelle and Nick's Wedding

We really couldn't be happier with the weddings we have been privileged enough to shoot lately.  We had been dying to snag a wedding at Chicago's Salvage One, and were thrilled when Michelle and Nick asked us to shoot their wedding at this exact site! I went a little early to get some details I knew I might not have time for otherwise and was glad I did, because the weather decided not to cooperate that day -- tornadoes and such -- no big deal ;)

Michelle and Nick had such a clear vision for their day, and it came together seamlessly.  They had to adjust for the weather, but one would have never known it wasn't their original plan!  I had so much fun with them, and was so glad I was able to be a part of their day.

Alexandra and Matt's Wedding

I have been dying to get these photos up on the blog!  Alexandra and Matt's wedding in Detroit, MI was so much fun to shoot! These two amazing people were as relaxed and as easy-going as it gets, and it made my job a breeze.  I had a lot of fun choosing portrait locations to shoot at, starting at the Eastern Market in Downtown Detroit and then heading over to the Heidelberg Project for some more portraits.

Their wedding site was the historic Cliff Bell's, a premier, art-deco Jazz lounge, in downtown Detroit.  It was amazing, and I was thrilled with it's authenticity.
