Here are a few photos from yesterday's session in Chicago! Dan proposed to Sarah at the Fourth Presbyterian Church on Michigan Ave. so we started there and made our way downtown for some more urban shots. We got some retro photos at the Superdawg drive-in where they also bought me a much appreciated hotdog. :) Thanks guys! I had fun and hope you did, too!
A creative, quirky, fun, intimate fete with an adorable kitten thrown in the mix = wedding awesomeness.
Kim and Matt were married a few weeks ago at Salvage One in Chicago. Their sweet little handcrafted wedding with beautiful DIY details was to die for. With music by the talented crew of Toast & Jam and amazing food by the Hearty Boys, Kim and Matt's wedding was predestined for great things.
As many of you know, Jake and I have a huge heart for rescue animals, so when a stray cat showed up at the venue, we were heartbroken to have to leave him behind. A few days later, we were given a huge reason to adore Salvage One even more than we already did. We learned that they took responsibility for the homeless cat, brought him to the vet for shots and a check up, made an appointment for him to be fixed AND found him a new family! Now, that's reason right there to make them my all-time favorite venue in Chicago!! Go Salvage One for not ignoring a problem and giving a scrawny stray cat a chance at a new life! You all rock!

Our dear friends, Ryan and April, asked us to photograph their destination wedding in Punta Cana, D.R. and we were absolutely delighted {naturally}. Besides being one of our best friends, Ryan is also a very talented photographer, and the pressure was on! Fortunately for us, these two are very natural in front of the camera, and gorgeous to boot. So they made our jobs easy!
We never had a chance to do a proper Engagement Session stateside, so we took the opportunity while we were together to do a "Pre-Wedding Day Session" in Punta Cana instead.
We went to a little town outside resort and had so much fun just photographing the two of them. Ryan and April are an adorable and genuine couple, whose love for each other is immediately visible.
